Tucson Icon

The Tucson Icon is an unofficial symbol designed for the community and city of Tucson, Arizona (USA). The form contains three elements: a saguaro, a letter initial T, and a mountain visible within the negative space. Tucson is surrounded by 5 mountain ranges, and the saguaro cactus is exclusively native to the Sonoran Desert region, where the city dwells. The work was created by graphic designer and local resident, Alex Parisi.

Career Day

Welcome to the profession of graphic design, where today it holds more significance and value than ever before. The demand for thoughtful and compelling design extends across every industry. Creative professionals are no longer confined to specific roles but have a place at every level, from the ground floor to the boardroom. This introductory deck was specifically tailored as a presentation for students attending their high school's "Career Day" event. It was an honor for me to present. My hope is for young people to have a clearer view of the vast opportunities and potential pathways within this field, while offering the same resources that helped me.
